How to be a successful blogger
A blog is an informational website which is used to discuss topics and exchange ideas. Today, there are so many blogs on the net which are based on topics such as entertainment news, sports, celebrity gossip, health and fitness, job opportunities, etc and they all allow exchange of ideas. Blogging can also serve as an online job because it generates money through several ways. In Nigeria today, blogging is one of the best and lucrative online jobs because it generates money and also serves as a means for marketers and companies to advertise their products and services via their websites and blogs. Ikeji blog and bellanaija blog. Talking about Linda Ikeji, she is a Nigerian female blogger who started blogging in the year 2006. She is said to be the richest blogger in Africa with an estimated traffic of 250,000 visitors in a day. In the year 2012, her blog (lindaikeji.blogspot.com) was estimated to be worth 1 million dollars. This is just an example of how lucrative blogging can be when hardwork and consistency are put into it. There are steps that must be taken in order for you to be a successful blogger. When I first started blogging, I was really frustrated because I was not getting visitors and then I was not earning money; but with time, I started learning the basics and then started smiling to the bank (How to make money through blogging) . In order for you to be a successful blogger, you need to follow these steps:
1. THINK OF A GOOD TOPIC TO BASE YOUR BLOG ON
You have to think of a very good topic to base your blog on. Some good topics which can serve as the basis of your blog are general news, sports, celebrity news, health and fitness, entertainment news and job advertising. Any of these topics can serve as the basis of your blog.
2. BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR POSTS
Try to post at least once in a day or more if possible according to your schedule.
3. BE CREATIVE AND WRITE GOOD ARTICLES
Try your possible best to make the content of your posts and articles good and innovative. That is one factor in determining the number of visitors you get because good posts and articles attract visitors to your blog. Also make sure your articles and posts are related to the topic your blog is based on. Don't copy articles from other blogs; make sure you compose all your articles and posts as it is a factor when registering with Google Adsense.
4. BE PATIENT
Patience is a key factor when starting a blog. You can't start earning money in a day or week, it takes time. Why I am currently a successful blogger is because I was patient not minding I was not getting visitors or getting money.
